To what extent is the meaning of an object defined by its content? Or is the medium itself sufficient? This series of work consists of three "containers". When they are worn as brooch, they are viewed from front as ambiguous shapes. Only when one walks around, or perhaps inspired by displayed content (rice,  ring,  flower), one realizes the objects have "function" - and thus a new identity. As Laozi suggests, when one makes a clay bowl, it is the empty space that makes a bowl useful.
